Description

The positive effects that CrossLinq grid patches can have on various symptoms and complaints are already known from human therapy. These CrossLinqs can also be used as part of treatment in animals. Practical experience has shown that this non-invasive method can also produce good results in veterinary practice. CrossLinq® – VET has therefore been specially added to the VetkinTape range for animals.

What are CrossLinq® – VET grid patches?

CrossLinqs are rectangular, non-elastic grid patches with an unequal number of horizontal strips and an equal number of vertical strips. This structure is not accidental; it is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Yin-Yang philosophy. In practice, the grid patches are used on acupuncture and meridian points, local pain points, trigger points, scars, bursitis, lymph nodes, arthritis, osteoarthritis, joints, muscles and ligaments.

The material consists of 80% cellulose acetate, a silky material, coated with polyurethane (10%) and provided with a skin-friendly acrylic adhesive layer (10%).

CrossLinq® – VET is available in 2 sizes in beige:

  • Medium: 2.1 x 2.7 cm – 20 sheets x 8 CrossLinqs (160 CrossLinqs in total)
  • Large: 4.4 x 5.2 cm – 20 sheets x 2 CrossLinqs (40 CrossLinqs in total)

How do you apply CrossLinq® – VET to an animal’s coat?

General tip: apply the CrossLinq diagonally at a 45-degree angle, preferably pointing to the left! You can apply the CrossLinq directly to the coat, but the coat must be clean and free from dust. After surgery, when the coat has been shaved, CrossLinq can also be applied to the skin, but never over open wounds.
CrossLinqs can be worn for several days and are water-resistant. Replace the CrossLinqs when the edges start to lift.

How does CrossLinq® – VET work?

The CrossLinq grid patches are electrostatically charged. The cross tapes are positioned on release paper with a smooth coating.
As soon as the CrossLinq is removed from the release paper, it becomes electrostatically charged. Do not use your fingers to remove it; instead, use wooden tweezers, for example, to help keep the patch “charged”.

In cases of illness or other complaints, the positive and negative charge in the animal’s body may be out of balance. When the CrossLinq is applied to the correct location, it is intended to help restore balance through the skin receptors in the coat, which may help reduce discomfort and pain.

When applying the tape, the difference in electrostatic charge may cause the grid patch to be drawn towards the affected area; this is where the patch is then applied. Multiple sizes and patches can be applied to one area.

What effects can you expect when using CrossLinq® – VET?

If you are familiar with acupuncture points and meridians in animals, you can apply the tapes to specific points associated with particular complaints, especially those related to organs and the nervous system (such as the bladder, stomach, kidneys and lungs, as well as anxiety and nervousness).

Even without knowledge of acupuncture, CrossLinq can be applied to areas such as pain points, muscles, scars, lymph nodes, insect bites and joints.
