Grid-shaped electrostatically charged tapes

CrossLinq acupressure patches (also known as cross tape or grid patches) are small, grid-shaped patches that are applied to the skin to stimulate specific pressure points.

These patches are commonly used on trigger points, acupuncture points and areas of muscle tension. By stimulating the skin, they may help support microcirculation and reduce local tension in a natural, drug-free way.

CrossLinq patches are made from an ultra-thin, breathable material with a hypoallergenic adhesive. They are lightweight, skin-friendly and can typically be worn for several days.

Acupressure patches (cross tape) are widely used for:

– Trigger points and muscle tension
– Acupuncture and pressure points
– Areas of stiffness or reduced mobility
– Supporting daily recovery routines

They are suitable for both professional use and everyday application, and can be placed precisely on targeted areas of the body.

CrossLinq® acupressure patches (also known as cross tape or grid patches) are small, non-elastic patches designed for precise application on the skin to stimulate specific pressure points. They feature a unique grid structure made up of an uneven number of horizontal (Yang) and an even number of vertical (Yin) lines, inspired by principles from traditional Chinese medicine. CrossLinq acupressure patches (cross tape) are commonly applied to areas such as trigger points, acupuncture points, scars, joints, muscles and ligaments. They are often used as part of routines focused on reducing tension, supporting mobility and increasing body awareness. Below you will find several practical examples of how CrossLinq patches can be applied.

Jaw tension

Arm / nerve-related tension

How CrossLinq acupressure patches work

The human body carries a natural electrostatic charge and interacts with its environment through the skin. The skin contains thousands of receptors that respond to stimuli such as pressure, temperature and touch. CrossLinq patches are also electrostatically charged. When removed from the backing paper, this charge becomes active. Once applied to the skin, the patch interacts with the surface and underlying receptors, providing a subtle and continuous stimulus. This light stimulation may help support microcirculation and reduce local tension, making acupressure patches (cross tape) a simple and non-invasive option for targeted support.

How to apply CrossLinq correctly

Tip: Use plastic tweezers or a wooden stick when handling the patch to preserve the electrostatic effect.
  1. Hold the patch above the targeted area using tweezers.
  2. You may notice the patch slightly bending towards the most sensitive point.
  3. Apply the patch diagonally at a 45° angle, either to the left or right.
The optimal direction of application can vary from person to person.
  • Can be worn for several days
  • Replace after a maximum of one week
  • If the patch loosens naturally, the area may no longer need support

Chinese medicine: Yin-Yang principle

The grid structure of CrossLinq patches is based on Yin and Yang principles:
  • Yin = calming, cooling, inward
  • Yang = activating, warming, outward
Application principle:
  • Uneven lines = Yang side
  • Even lines = Yin side
The patch is applied diagonally at a 45° angle. For most people this is to the left (70%), for others to the right.

O-ring test: determining direction

The O-ring test can be used to explore the preferred direction of application.

Step 1

Form a ring using your thumb and index finger.

Step 2

Apply resistance and assess the strength.

Step 3

Apply the patch to the left and repeat.

Step 4

Repeat on the right side.

Result

The direction with the strongest resistance is often preferred.
